Considering the classic system of conference, which gathers in the same space a set of participants, we chose to rethink the principles of pavilion, community (to be together), and their link to the public space, to dissolve the space conference limits.
What is a lecture at the time of the individualism and the digital technology?
By questioning the relations between the users who share the same space, the idea is to propose an immersive experience, where the subjects take place into individuals but highly communicative spaces.
The sphere appears as a geometrical and symbolic obviousness to create a minimal pavilion for the individual scale. The sphere is considered as a bubble, it creates a border immunizing and communicative: a transceiver bubble. So the lecture takes place through interconnected bubbles.

The project proposes many free spatialities from existing social schemes.It’s the idea of a thought which runs through the space and the time at the same moment, of a repetitive space, and a temporality to appropriate.
Scenario
- Get a user’s kit, it’s a backpack in which there are the folded bubble, a compressed air bottle
(2 liters in 240 bars), conference’s tools like a digital tablet to connect to the lecturer and
others users, a reference book, a wine bottle…
- Choose a spot in the public space to set
- Inflate your bubble
- Participate to the conference
- At the end, deflate the bubble and bring back the user’s kit
Bubble
The bubble is made of a double skin of 1 cm of thickness, inflated as an inner tube.
It proposes a livable space of 0,95m ² and 2,05m of height. Truncated on its base which gives its stability. Inside, a cushion provides a comfortable seat. Skin and cushion are part of one piece and inflatable in one time(3 minutes). The own user’s weight ballasts the bubble.
Two vertical slits, positioned on the cuts of textile, allow the entrance and the exit , but also create a natural ventilation with the spreaders’s use.
The pieces of textile are hot- welded, both membranes are connected with hot welded pvc elements. Membranes are made of 100 % recycled pvc. The outer one, a waterproof textile mirror, reflects the environment. The inner one, a mylar textile with insulating properties, reflects the digital touch pad’s luminosity to diffuse a sweet light.
